Indigo Adults: a Primer

What are The Indigo Adults?

“Indigos” (Indigo Children and Indigo Adults) are traditionally defined as people that were born starting in the 1970’s (though some will say as early as the 1950’s) that have common traits regardless socio-economic standards, lifestyles and classes.

These traits are in kids all over the world… and from all circumstances of life.

It’s not just the kids raised on a farm or in the city or in the US or Tibet… They’re everywhere and they came with the intention of helping the evolution of the planet by raising the vibration to a more heart-centered way of being.

The term “Indigo Child” was coined by a psychic named Nancy Ann Tappe in her book Understanding Your Life Through Color
.  About 30 years ago she saw a child with an indigo aura.  This is a color she had never seen in the anyone’s auric field before this child.  She says since then she has seen more and more individuals with indigo auras.

Traits:

  • Empathic (ability to acutely feel what others are feeling. Can be physical, emotional, spiritual, etc).  Often empaths can “feel into” remotely… they can feel how their ex-boyfriend from 10 years ago is feeling or consciously feel when someone is thinking of them.  They can also feel how the tree they are standing next to is feeling that day.  They can also feel how a collective feels that they are either about to get involved in or thinking about.
  • Telepathic: Can communicate with others without speaking out loud.  Simply by vibration or “speaking” loudly, but mentally.
  • Strong willed and sometimes very angry: when they get disconnected with their mission to raise the vibration of the planet food additives or a negative collective could also be the cause
  • Resistance to Authority: only if the authority is not grounded in sensible existence. If authority is there “just ‘cause” or if it’s a process that’s more harmful then helpful to those they interact with, indigo children and indigo adults will resist
  • Highly Intelligent:  But not always in a conventional way.  For example, creative intelligence is not particularly celebrated in US culture, so an indigo kid that’s not intelligent in math or science might be a genius with regards to creativity. I like Brian Tracy’s take on it.  He mentions several different types of intelligence. I also feel that this has to be with being empathic, as empaths automatically pick up on the understanding and expertise of others and can use it as their own.
  • Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD):  Indigo children are often diagnosed with ADHD and put on Ritalin.  Again, it could be less a matter of the child being hyperactive than being empathic in an environment that has hyperactive people or vibration, and the indigo child or indigo adult is simply reflecting this vibration.
  • Very, very good with electrical equipment
  • Intuitive healers of themselves and others.  This is more on an energetic level than indigo children and indigo adults being born knowing how to perform open heart surgery.

Other traits can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_children

In fact, there are tons of pages that have tests and quizzes about being indigo.  Just do a search in Google.

Who is Indigo Leslie?

Just a girl.  Well a woman…

Therefore an indigo adult?

Maybe.

I’ve never done any Kirlian photography though I have had people randomly call me out for being indigo.

I have some of the traits.  Create world peace?  Well, yeah.  But I like to play guitar, too.  Equally passionate about having a joyful life.

The reason?  I feel that by making our thoughts (and therefore, our own personal universe) a space of peace and joy, that will not only feel better to us, it will radiate out to others, building a web of connections that are based on peace, love, respect, kindness, etc…

I don’t know about you, but my thoughts are “loud” and tend amplify very loudly amongst the people I am with.  If I am able to stay aligned and peaceful in even the most tenuous situations, generally the group around me stays aligned and peaceful as well.

But to declare oneself indigo? What is that all about?

That’s why it’s a bit of a squirrelly subject.  And that’s reason number one for creating this site.  I’m sure others indigo adults have thought “Am I?  I may be…  I have this trait but I don’t have that.  I believe in world peace but who doesn’t?  And I think I’m special, but am I just wanting to think I’m indigo because I’m actually kind of a weirdo based on the status quo assessment of what a “normal” person is.”

Like I said.  Squirrelly.

So I’m started with what I know…

I AM Empathic.

I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE.

I KNOW I have a lifetime of perceiving the physical world through an energetic lens, way before it was trendy to do so. In fact, I started talking about this stuff when it was definitely freaky to do so.

Additionally, I had a mother that would say to me, “What, do you think I have? A crystal ball or something?” when I would get frustrated that she could hear what I was thinking.  It was WEIRD TO ME that she couldn’t hear what I was thinking.

There were other things… weird things that would happen, much like the things that happened around Harry Potter when he was with the Dursleys.

Unlike the indigo children diagnosed with ADHD,  I didn’t talk much as a kid nor was I hyperactive.  In fact, I was unusually still and quiet as a child.

So who knows?  But who cares? I am enjoying writing and I feel that I can serve indigos on line and psychic children and the parents of psychic children that are asking the same questions I am.

As a side note, as I was thinking about creating this site, I was debating whether I wanted to sign my name to my writings.  Honestly, there is still a lot of discomfort and sometimes outright hostility toward anyone who claims to be or is psychic or has psychic leanings.

Therefore, I decided I would sign off as Indigo Leslie.  That will give me a little bit of anonymity.

If you REALLY want to know who I am I’m sure you will be able to find it.  But these experiences I am writing and my opinions and perceptions still do not mesh with a lot of popular sentiment of mainstream society.

Besides, it’s not about me… It’s the experience that I bring forth that is the gold here.  It will benefit no one to state my given name.

WHY CREATE THIS SITE ABOUT INDIGO ADULTS?

MY TAKE:  I know that I am empathic and have other psychic abilities.  I know that I have met other highly empathic and psychic people and they tend to be my age or younger than me.  Some are older than me, but, frankly, they are not usually as wise as the younger ones.

Indigo adult? Indigo child? Crystal Children? Is it real?

I ask myself this a lot.

I recognize that it is a “feel good” term and I often think to myself, “But I’m so human and imperfect and these kids are always written up like demi-gods and that’s not me.  So I must not be it.”

But people – random strangers – have walked up to me and earmarked me as an indigo.

And with all the psychic stuff going on with me and seeing others that also have these abilities that I have but them not knowing how to manage it… It made me want to start this blog.

On a scale of 1-10 on whether I think I’m an indigo… My guess would be about an 8.  If there is such a thing as an indigo adult, I’m pretty sure I am one.

What I KNOW IS REAL are my experiences. I know what I experience as an empath is truly happening and it has taken me a LOOOOONG time to understand it enough to acknowledge that it really is there.

I KNOW that there is an invisible, energetic, quantum physical world out there that affects every aspect of my life.

So what if indigo children and indigo adults are not real?

But what if they are?

What if there is a group of beings here to lovingly guide the world toward peace?

Would that be such a terrible thing?

So if I’m not one of them, or if they don’t even exist, that’s ok.  I know that I have these experiences and the more I recognize them, the better I understand them and can help others and myself with them.

And if indigo people really are out there and are having these experiences maybe my experiences can help them get through it better.  Maybe I’m just an intuitive and not indigo.  Whatever… My gifts and my experiences and experiments with them can help others who are indigo.

Another intention for theindigoadults.com is to get more people, both indigo and non-indigo, to acknowledge or at least inquire about this invisible, energetic world.

Finally, this site is intended to help us all to understand that we are truly connected and perhaps, as a collective, we will stop doing shitty things to each other, and thinking shitty things, if only for the reason that we are doing it to ourselves, too (likewise, when we are shitty to ourselves we are also automatically being shitty to others.)

Peace

Indigo Leslie

“It is about making the energy tangible to you. Seeing the energy, acknowledging the energy… That is the first step. Then we can get on to, “What do we do with it?” afterwards. But when we acknowledge it and say “Ah, there you are my friend! Hello!” that is the starting point.”

Part 2: How Indigo Adults Can Call Back Their Own Energy to Their Field

THIS IS PART 2 of 2 of the report series: Indigo Adults and Their Energy Field

Through our interactions with people (especially for “givers”), both indigo adults and muggles tend to leave energy behind as we, in physical form, keep going through life.

In the last post, I wrote about how to clear all energy that is not your own.  In this post I write about how to call back your own energy that you might have left behind through your daily interactions with people.

Before I go on, I just want to note that this probably sounds a lot worse than it actually is.

None of us deliberately leave energy behind, nor do most people deliberately “tap” or steal our energy, and often the process of leaving energy behind is not terribly detrimental to our lives.

But think of those times that you had an emotionally exhausting conversation, perhaps an argument, or sat in traffic for three hours while running late for an appointment (yes, the highways have a collective consciousness that effect you and that you can effect through intention).

It could even be an instance where you were at a social gathering like a party and got into a long and pleasant conversation with another person.  Even though the experience was pleasant, there was still a energy exchange, and most likely the two individuals in conversation walked away with a bit of each others’ “stuff”.

It is important to do this work, not only for health reasons and not only if you consider yourself an empath or have a psychic mind, but because as you become more sensitive your energy field and the energy field of others, you will become aware of the impact on your physical and emotional body of carrying around outside energy.

Here’s an example: You are hanging out with your best friend who has a huge craving for cheese fries.  Your friend has wanted cheese fries for weeks.  S/he may or may not state this craving.  Let’s say s/he doesn’t.  You guys hang out, and then afterward you get this strange hankering for cheese fries, even though you’ve never had an interest in them before in your life.

That craving that you are having actually belongs to your friend.  You are carrying around that energy from hanging out.  The best thing to do is to clear the energy (as described in the my last post) and you will find that the craving will quickly dissipate. (sometimes it will take a few clearings if the connection between you and the other person is very strong.)

In doing this work, do not think that the people and places that you are interacting with are contaminating you and that you should no longer spend time with people.

Absolutely continue to interact.  That’s part of being human and is a tremendously beneficial part of our lives.

This work is done so that we may gradually learn to have better, deeper interactions with people because our own energy fields will be clear as we go through life.

This will allow us to get closer, but still stay separate (unless we want to merge, which will be discussed in a different report.)

If you feel your energy not staying clear, imagine the bubble and shield from the first exercise here on TheIndigoAdults.com, but also put a bubble and shield around the other person.  This will reinforce the separation of energy.

HOW TO CALL YOUR OWN ENERGY BACK TO YOU FIELD:

  1. Do the grounding/clearing exercise from the first post.
  2. On the band of energy connecting the top of you head to the heavens, imagine just above your violet ball of energy (crown chakra… this is described in the first post) there is another ball of energy.  It is a golden light color that looks like the sun.
  3. Either mentally our out loud, state that you are calling all energy of your own back to your field.  Something like, “I command all energy of my own to return to me now.”  Even better:  “I command all energy that serves the greatest good for all return to me now.”
  4. Imagine the sun above you grow in size and becoming brighter.  Perhaps you will recall specific interactions in which you felt a bit of an energy drain.  Visualize that energy drain now returning to that sun above your head.
  5. When you are feeling that you have drawn back all of your energy, you should have a giant sun above your head.  Take a deep breath in and allow that sun to now slide down onto your head.  The sun oozes onto you, starting with your head and dripping down slowly until it reaches your feet, covering all of your body.  The sun might have a honey-like consistency and should really great as it covers you.
  6. When you feel complete, take a few deep breaths.  Feel the energetic radiance emanating from your being.

Indigo Adults, children and others… please leave feedback on this exercise in the comments are below.  I would love to know how it worked for you and how you think it can be improved upon.

Part 1: Clearing your Energy Field, How Indigo Adults and Children can Feel Better in 10 Minutes or Less

Indigo Adults: How to feel better in 10 minutes or less:  No drugs, doctors, or medication

THIS IS PART 1 of 2 of the report series: Indigo Adults and Their Energy Field

Occasionally, as indigo adults, we find ourselves with a bad headache or migraine, or feelings or urges that are a typical of our normal M.O.

Perhaps our back is aching or we feel unusually tired in the middle of the day. We haven’t had a drink of alcohol in years, yet we have the sudden urge to stop for a bottle of whiskey (true story… happened to me a few years ago.)

Sometimes even long-standing physical ailments can be related to our electromagnetic energy field.  This field can be affected by the environment, the foods we eat, the people we interact with, and the way we think.

Before running to a doctor, try this simple energy clearing exercise.

1.    Sit in a quite place with good posture and your feet firmly planted on the ground, shoulder width apart.
2.    Set the intention.  What would you like to heal?  Headache?  Backache?  Upset stomach?  Set in your mind and intention stated in the positive:  “My intention is to bring comfort and relaxation to my neck and shoulders.” (Don’t say, “I want to get rid of my backache,” because what your brain hears is “backache”.)
3.    Take a deep breath in.  As you exhale, allow any tension you are feeling to release out of your feet into the ground.
4.    Take another deep breath in.  As you breathe out, imagine roots growing out of the bottom of your feet, deep into the center of the earth.  It may take several breaths to visualize the roots deep into the center core of the earth.  At the center of the earth, there is a glowing, golden yellow substance (think lava).  You want the roots to wrap around and penetrate this lava center.
5.    Once your roots are firmly established, take another deep breath in and imagine that glowing yellow energy from the lava pull up through your roots.  Visualize that energy coming up through your feet and legs.  When it reaches your genital area, imagine a red, glowing energy emanating from this space.  Feel this energy expand with every breath.
6.    Once this field has expanded quite a bit, allow the lava energy to move up to your belly, about two inches below your bellybutton, where there will be and orange ball of energy emanating.  With each breath, allow the lava energy to assist in expanding this orange field.
7.    Then allow the lava energy to move up to the bottom of the sternum.  This is a yellow energy.  Allow it to expand.
8.    Continue to breath the lava energy into a green ball of energy at your chest.  Allow this energy to expand.
9.    The lava energy then continues up your spine into your throat.  At your throat there is a blue energy ball.  Breathe the lava energy through the other energy fields into the throat and allow that blue energy field to expand.
10.    Do the same for the space between your eyes.  There is a lavender/indigo energy here.  Imagine the lavender ball glowing and expanding.
11.    Then the lava energy moves up to a violet ball of energy above your head.  Allow this field to expand.  Then the lava energy moves up all the way up, to the infinite sky. Above your head, it turns into a silver cord, connecting the top of your head with the heavens.
12.    With your next breath in, pull a white energy downward from the heavens.  Allow it to pass, gradually, through all the energy fields you expanded with the lava energy.  The energy you pull down should feel cool and cleansing, and should add to the radiance of each energy ball.
13.    Continue to pull the energy down to your feet and into the earth… Through your roots (that you created earlier) into the core of the earth.
14.    Eventually, you are breathing energy from the heavens into the center of the earth.  You are a clear conduit of energy between heaven and earth.
15.    Now imagine you are in a bubble, 10 feet in all directions.  Choose a color for the bubble that feels good.  You can change the color of the bubble each time you do this exercise.
16.    Put a shield around the bubble.  You can have it look however you want it to, as long as it feels like a strong, invincible shield.
17.    Now you are to clear the energy from your bubble.  State the following (preferably out loud, but mentally is ok if others are around):  “All energy that is not my own, return with love and light back to source.”  Some people will feel energy pulling off of them.  If you close your eyes, you can visualize the energy leaving your bubble and returning to wherever it came from.  Then say “All planetary energy, return with love and light back to source.”  Again, visualize the energy leaving.
18.    This is also when you may feel the discomfort you were feeling earlier evaporate from your body.  If it does not, think of any interaction that may have occurred (particularly ones that didn’t feel so good) that might need specific clearing.  Or if anyone is thinking about you strongly, particularly in a negative way.  You may want to say things like, “All energy of _________ (insert co-worker’s name here) return with love and light back to source  (or back to _________).”  “All energy from the freeways return with love and light back to source.”  Even if it is people who have strong positive thoughts about us… it’s still their energy and their intentions for us that we could be carrying around.  “All energy of my mother’s return with love and light back to source.”
19.    Take a few more breaths in, and imagine any remaining discomfort being released through your roots into the core lava energy of the earth.  You should feel more grounded and more mentally clear.

This might take a bit of time while your learning it, but once you are clear on the stages of this visualization, you will find it is fast and easy to run through and will serve you immensely.  I recommend you run through this process once in the morning upon waking and once in the evening before retiring.  You will gradually become more sensitive to the energy you are running through your system, and will be able to detect when you are carrying other people’s energy.  You will then immediately call out that energy and it must leave your field when you request it to do so.  (Example:  “Ah, my right knee is aching.  I always get this feeling after I’ve interacted with Tom.  But I haven’t seen Tom today.  He must be thinking of me.  Okay.  Well, I will clear it now.  ‘All energy of Tom return with love and light back Tom.’  Knee feels better.  Great!”

Grounding your energy also helps when you are nervous, stressed or tired.  It will connect you with the infinite energy of the universe, and will help you to perform much better physically and mentally.

I recommend this process not only for indigo adults and children, but for everyone, including muggles that are willing to try it.

Part 2 of this series will be posted soon and is about Callling Back Your Own Energy.

New Indigo Adults Revelation/Harry Potter Analogy

This weekend I had yet another experience that reiterated why Flagstaff is so good for me…

You know how in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry and Hermione had a tent that made their location undetectable except when they said Voldemort’s name?

That is Flagstaff for me.

It is my tent and my protection.

There’s just something about this city…

I have had someone around me for my entire life and this is someone who has always considered me to be pretty worthless because I’m different.

A muggle through and through, but an Uncle Vernon, the kind of muggle that not only does not understand the magical world of indigo adults and children, but ignorantly despises this world and is quick with venomous words in regards to it.

Growing up around this, and being an empath, all I kept hearing was “you suck” but it was coming from outside of me. It was coming from my own personal Voldemort.

The unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate) complication is that I love this person dearly, and she has many endearing qualities to her. She just has a script pointed at me that says “worthless”.

So in the past, I was not able to distinguish between my own voice, which generally says that life is good and that I’m powerful, good and whole, and the voice coming from my Voldemort saying the opposite.

Being in Flagstaff and Sedona for a month, I got clear on my own voice again. My life is so full of positivity here, and this is who I truly am.

Getting on the phone with Voldemort this weekend, and being told things that do not mesh with who I really am, I was easily able to determine that not only within this conversation was I being told (not verbally, but telepathically) that I’m no good, but my entire life I’ve been hearing it. Again, not overly… Not out loud… But every time Voldemort’s attention was on me.

Can you imagine being able to accomplish anything when one of the people closest to you, and therefore loudest in your head telepathically, is saying all those negative things?

I am flashing to the scene at the end of the 5th Harry Potter movie, in which Dumbledore and Voldemort battle it out. At the end of the battle, Voldemort does the most insideous thing he could possibly do, which was get inside Harry’s mind and torture him with cruel word and thoughts.

I have had my moments of writhing on the floor in pain from the thoughts and images coming at me from outside of me.

This is why I have learned to shield so diligently and why I believe that all indigo adults and children need to learn how to do this to maintain their vitality and well being.

The comforting aspect of this revelation is that

1. I know now these thoughts are not mine. They never were and they never have to be again. I live in a world of joy, positivity, abundance, support, peace, and love. That is what I am creating and vibrating and sending out to the universe.

2. I am safe if I stay in Flagstaff/Sedona. I have never found that to be true anywhere else, but I have actually seen these cities bounce people out that do not belong. Those that are not aligned with higher vibrations, or aspire to align with higher vibrations find it very difficult to stay here. My ex-boyfriend, a Petunia, got lost in Sedona three days in a row and would have never found even one of the vortexes if I had not shown him the way.

I’d like to end this piece by saying thank you to all of my friends, neighbors, animals and mentors that I have found here in Flagstaff that have reflected to me the powerful and good person that I am. I am so grateful that I am here now. That I am safe. That I am surrounded by like-minded people. And that my life is just going to continue to get better and better as time goes on.

They may not read this, but they will feel my vibration and thought subconsciously.

Part 2: Indigo Adults Visit for a Weekend

Here is the second part to the email conversation I am having with one of my friends (an indigo adult) who came to Sedona to visit a couple weekends ago…

You know, I was thinking about what I wrote last night and actually sort of regretted implying that Vegas was more negative than Flag or Sedona.

In changing up my answer, I’d say it’s just different. I was not as psychically open in Vegas, which in some ways was a VERY good thing for me because I was able to do a lot more than I would here.

Also, after being at school for over 50 hours this week, I’m noticing that while people are quite centered here, they’re also somewhat somber. At least on campus.

I said to one student, “You guys are pretty serious here. I’m 10 years older and I’m much wackier. If I come here in character, you guys will think I’m nuts.”

He responded, “Yeah, we are pretty serious here. But there’s a lot of weird people in Flagstaff so if you’re going to do it, this is a good place. No one will judge it or anything too much.”

*** As  a side note, I’m finding that I’m equally adept or even more adept at computers than many of my younger counterparts. Percentage-wise, I think there are more indigos around me than there were when I was in school around people my age (10 years older- born in 70’s), but it’s not as many as I expected.  Maybe my major doesn’t draw indigos adults, but I would think that film and television production would, given that it offers the chance for the indigo adult to have a massive societal impact and voice.  And it’s a lot of technical stuff which also is a draw to me as well as many other indigos I have met.  ***

That was somewhat comforting, but I’m finding it difficult not to be serious with everyone else.

*** Again, that’s the empathic side to being indigo.  Even before I talk to anyone in Vegas, I can feel my comedic side start to emerge from the bush it has been hiding under. ***

What usually happens is something will happen and I’ll start laughing because I’ll see the funny in it, and then everyone will be staring at me in dead silence. Which just cracks me up even more.

Anyway, thanks for giving me the space to vent. I actually really, really like all the people that I’m meeting, and I think things will lighten up with everyone as the semester goes forward.

On a different note, interesting about your meditation. I can feel when things are sticking to me, too. I usually create a “bubble” around me (again, I know this sounds wacky, but…) and say “all energy that is not my own, I command you out of my field.” I try to do this once in the morning and once at night. When I do it on a regular basis, I become so acute about outside energy that I can actually feel it pull out of my field.

I don’t write about this much because I think that people would think I was nuts or making it up. But when I started to learn about it, it explained a lot of weird stuff that used to happen to me as a kid.

*** Well, I don’t write about this much to my muggle friends and associates, but I obviously write about it a lot here.  This is why I have kept a pen name so far. ***

PS: We’re also in Mercury Retrograde and that tends to affect people a lot, too… especially just before it (which coincided with you trip.) You may also want to say, “All planetary energy, I command you out of my field.” This will keep Merc Retro energy to a minimum.

Any opinions from indigo adults or other psychic minds?  Are you an indigo on line that has written about anything relating to this topic? Leave comments, kind words, links to your related site, etc below…

Indigo Adults visit for a Weekend

A few friends (indigo adults) came to visit me here in Flagstaff this weekend and we went to Sedona.

A few days later one of them wrote to me and mentioned that she felt a bit weird before and after the visit, and felt sort of down was here.  I thought it would be interesting to post my response.

…You didn’t seem down. Funny, I started to notice the “stuff” I was carrying related to my own lineage when i first moved here (rather than my Leslie “stuff”).

The vibe in Sedona/Flagstaff is strange and I am not phased by its affect on me or others too much anymore.

This was my experience/philosophy when switching back and forth between Sedona/Flag and Las Vegas:
There’s a lot of BS floating around the general atmosphere of Vegas that I was not able to detect when I lived there.

But because Sedona opened me up so much psychically, I would return to Vegas really open for the first few days and I would pick up on some really jacked stuff. Additionally, a few days before heading to Sedona, I would also start to open up.

I would notice I’d be in greater flow and exuberantly happy (I am always pretty happy, but it would be super extreme a few days before heading to Sedona.)

All this would happen when I was going L.A. to Sedona, too.

Even here in Flag, I know when I’m headed down to Sedona b/c the day before I go my world just feels different… super cheerful and in flow.

And then arriving back in Flag I sometimes feel a bit bumped around and sometimes a little more pissy than usual.

The nice thing is that if you want to connect with the Sedona vibe, you just need to think specifically about a place in Sedona that you can visualize clearly. I know that sounds wacky, but that should help you connect to the Sedona flow again. Well, it help me, I don’t know if that’s just something weird that I do.

I know I’ve written a lot about this lately but I’ve developed a strong fascination about how locations and the collective consciousness of the location affects individuals living in the location and passing through the location.

Did you know that in Phoenix 85%-90% of foreclosed home that sell for less than $200,000 are “stripped”… meaning that the permanent fixtures (copper piping, counter tops, ceiling fans, etc) are removed by the foreclosed owners?

I mention this because that doesn’t happen here. I asked a police officer and two realtors today (I was doing a report) and they said it just doesn’t happen in Flagstaff.

Hmmmm… Collective consciousness?  The happy “Vibe” of Sedona affecting Flagstaff?  Happy city? Less dense population?

I’d say it’s all of that.

Anyway, time for bed.  Thanks for reading, Indigo Adults and friends of…

Peace

Indigo Leslie

PS: As always, kind word and thoughts always appreciated…

INDIGO ADULTS: Rogue (X-Men) in Real Life

I have always had a certain affection for Rogue from
X-Men.  Actually, all of the X-Men
characters draw me in because as an indigo adult I don’t thing they are particularly far fetched
from what is possible in real life. Though a bit dramatic, I truly do believe
that it is within the human capacity to manipulate the weather (Storm) or speak
to people telepathically (Professor X).

But Rogue I feel is the closest we are to real life
possibility.

The reason?

In real life she would be called “empathic”.  To be able to take on the
characteristics of others is a common occurrence among psychics and indigo adults and children. It is
interesting that they frame this as a benefit within the world of X-Men.

Well,
Rogue doesn’t really see it as a benefit, because she can’t express love
through touch.  But worse than
that, if she bumps into, say, a raging alcoholic or someone with halitosis, she
is definitely drawn down by her mutant power.

I thoroughly enjoy Anna Paquin’s portrayal of Rogue in the
X-Men movies… playing off the ‘tortured soul’ roll of one unable to fully
express love. Though I think it could be taken in other directions.

Actually, the fact that there is only a transference of characteristics to Rogue if
touch is involved is actually a benefit to her.

Going back to psychics, empaths and indigo adults and children, often
they walk into a room and they can feel and sometimes take on the
characteristics of another individual in the room, or the collective group energy in the room. The necessity of touch to transfer characteristics actually gives Rogue an element of control that real life “Rogues”
don’t have.

On the other side, the “Rogues” that walk in this
world do have the choice to touch their lovers, as long as they do not mind
taking on the characteristics of that lover. Also, often the real-life lovers
of Rogue are not drained the way the victims of X-Men’s Rogue are. Therefore,
empaths like Rogue can walk in this real world without their ‘mutant’ power being
too noticeable.

A gentle touch is a dramatic shift of energy for those touched by X-Men Rogue, but in this world the
one being touched by the empath, psychic mind or indigo child or adult might hardly notice.

The upside of a real life Rogue in the real world is that
she can seek out the people with the most powerful and positive characteristics
and leverage that to their advantage.

By an indigo adult or child surrounding herself by such beings, she ensures a generally smooth
life and the ability to act in the world in a powerful and positive way like the peers she surrounds herself with.

The downside is that
because her ‘mutant’ power in this world isn’t noticable, when she does occasionally come in
contact with darker elements (violent people, drug addicts, etc) her behavior
appears erratic, unpredictable and unexplainable by those observing, and in strong
contrast to her normal ways of life, especially if she has established a
powerful, positive presence in the world.

Fortunately for Rogue, once
the negative energy has passed, she can go back to being what she was before
the negative run in (give up the drugs effortlessly, cease the violent
behavior,
, etc).  Hopefully this
happens before too much damage is done.

But if the indigo adult or child is familiar with the art of manifestation, he or she will manifest mostly positive energy around him/her, as long as s/he stays in alignment with his/her higher self.

Raw Food Restaurants for Indigo Adults (and Health Nuts) in Las Vegas

While I find that eating raw food in Las Vegas makes me feel like I’m about to lift out of my body (ah… the psychic mind of an indigo adult), I still thoroughly enjoy the taste, so even when I was in Vegas this weekend, I enjoyed the raw breakfast I shared with my friends.

Here are two Raw Food Restaurants in Vegas that I really like.

1. Go Raw Cafe

We at at the location in an area called “The Lakes” which actually has a manmade lake in the center of the community.

Is anything real in Vegas?  Eh, no matter…

My friend lives there and it was realy nice to stay with her and be near water while in the desert.

The raw food restaurant was lovely and a favorite of several of my indigo adult friends in Las Vegas.  I had never heard about this and I was so glad they shared it with me!  I enjoyed the superfood smoothie with granola… a bit expensive (like most raw food) but filling and delicious.

My friends also said the “Gimme the Beet “Cheese” Burger w/ Fries” and “Portabella Mushroom Wrap” were also quite good.  They also have a section of the restaurant devoted to raw foodie groceries (snacks, books, personal health products) that you purchase to take home (well, at the location I went to they did… not sure about 2nd Vegas location).

2.  Rainbow’s End Las Vegas

I discovered this place years before I lived in Vegas because I drove by it while I was staying on the Strip as a tourist.  It’s mostly a health food store but they also have a cafe that serves veggie and raw Monday Thru Friday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Saturday – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While I lived in Vegas I would get there too late to order, so I would usually go to the cooler in the back of the store and find one of their breakfast smoothies which is my absolute favorite in terms of taste and I feel great for hours afterward.  Better prices than at Go Raw, too.

Any indigo adults out there have recommendations for other raw food restaurants in Las Vegas?  How about other cities?  Your words will be especially helpful to me and other indigo adults if you give recommendations in cities where it’s hard to find raw food (like Vegas).
