Afterwards

After the election: Indigo Adults Creating ChangeThis is being written November 8th, the morning of election day.

It is 7:20am and voting opened less than a half hour ago here in Vermont.

It is important that you know that this was written before the votes come in because this is a post about what to do afterward.

I have already written a lot about what to do beforehand and I hope that you are connecting with the vibration of the happy future we are manifesting rather than sully your thinking with the mud-slinging in the news the past few months.

But afterwards… After the election results come in…

There are two things that could happen.

  1. Your candidate wins.
  2. Your candidate doesn’t win.

Indigo Adults Creating Change

Flash back to a little over a year ago, and I must say that I never would have guessed I would ever see a candidate that would ever be willing to step forward for me or for the average person.

I felt that change in society MUST come from the individual, not the government.

I felt that if the government helps, that’s great, but unlikely. It seems to me that government is usually the last one onboard because they are so entangled with the status quo.

But change must happen and it must come from the individual or gatherings.

The “change” I speak of could be as simple as an individual shifting internally in thinking or vibration or awareness. This would a small but potentially profound shift.

A larger and more obvious shift could be that individual is the catalyst of a radical shift on the planet and in the universe,

Either way, it still starts with you and with us, not some politician or government entity.

An example from my life is adding a few more veggies to my garden so that I rely a little less on stores for my food, or that I keep my mainstream friends posted on what’s happening with my friends protecting the water at the Dakota Access Pipeline.

It also manifests when I update this blog.

But even an internal raising of consciousness within an individual can ripple throughout that individuals world and well beyond his or her social circle.

So my point is that you should not hold your breath for the government to help. If they do, then great. But their Game of Thrones behavior should only bring you to feel gratitude that you are not in that collective, because I don’t know about you, but I am pretty sure I would act more like Ned Stark than Cersei and I am much safer in Winterfell.

Not to sound too much like Ghandi, but “Go be the change you want to see in the world.” It is the only way it is going to get done.  The government will follow once we get it started, but it requires a certain level of leadership and I am asking that of you.

And the beautiful part is that it can be in the area or areas that you are passionate about.

For me, that is the environment, animal welfare, clean food and water… Well there is a lot, but mainly the environment.

Which brings me to the second part of this post….

Looking back on the 2012 Shift

A lot of people thought nothing changed on December 21, 2o12, but it did.

I never thought it would be a singular day of earth shattering changes.

It is harder to detect slow changes, but now, almost 3 years after that date, I can say I see much profound and good change in the world since 2012… even in those that are not so sensitive to energy and vibration.

Google the major shift in Iceland in the last few years. Canada elected a progressive leader. Things are shifting differently than before 2012.

In terms of this blog and myself, the topics and emphasis and my interest has shifted.

Leading up to 2012, all I wrote about was the energetic connection to everything and this was very important because, as I mentioned earlier, a shift in one individual’s consciousness can shift and entire collective.

I feel that putting my perceptions out on the energetic connectedness of all things really did have an impact in the world collective, to the point where we have politicians (yes, like Bernie Sanders) saying that religion to him is his awareness that we are all connected.

Since 2012, the message I have gotten is that the emphasis on inner work is over and it is time to be physically active and pressing our evolved presence peacefully and joyfully into the universe through physical action.

I mean, we will always be doing inner work and that is good, but wherever you feel drawn to actually go help, is where you should be taking more action in the physical realm.

For me, it is the environment, which is why you have seen more posts about things like the Dakota Pipeline and permaculture.

And I have been holding back because I didn’t want to alienate the people who come for my more esoteric topics about energy and indigo adult abilities.

But I also feel that Mother Earth needs expression and that has been what I have been most most inspired to post lately. Do I start a different blog? Do I continue with The Indigo Adults and shift focus from inner work to outer work on the planet?

(Seriously… leave comments below because I am not sure.)

I don’t really need to connect with energy healers or anything like anymore. I am beyond that. Sorry, my last few experiences with energy healers were less than profound, reminding me that the proper focus for my life now and best use of my indigo abilities is activity that literally gets my hands dirty. It has little to do with lying on a yoga mat in a dimly lit room with an eye pillow on my face listening to someone “channel the light” by speaking in tongues.

(As a side note, I still meditate every day for at least 15 minutes in the morning and it is one of the best things I do to improve my life and clarity psychically, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t feel that ‘healers’ are necessary anymore. I think every indigo should meditate for at least 15 minutes every day.)

Being an Indigo Adult is AWESOME!

The other area where I am shifting in terms of my writing is emphasizing how awesome it is to be an indigo adult.

In the past, a lot of this blog has been about the energetic awarenesses I have had or other indigos have had, but these posts often told about the discomfort about being different or psychically open in a world that is a little rough around the edges.

Most of the posts talked about protection. Most of the posts emphasized defense rather than offense.

So now we know to protect ourselves and how to do it (sign up for my email list for 2 great meditations on energetic clearing and shielding).

We now have awareness that we have these abilities. Now what?

We use them! And we use them for our own well-being and the well-being of the planet and the universe.

For example, it sucks if you are an empathic indigo adult and you sit next to the angry guy on the bus. But it is awesome if you are in school and you sit next to the most focused, smart student or students in the room, so make a deliberate choice to do so. An empathic indigo will thrive academically under these conditions, even if he or she doesn’t know the material at all. If you are an empathic indigo, try an experiment and go to some event where you don’t know the subject matter at all. Conventions work really well for this. You will have greater understanding about that topic while you are around all of these experts. It’s really cool. And the expertise comes in to you permanently when you practice what the experts have pressed into your mind. You must take the time to make it you own, which takes a while (10,000 according to Malcolm Gladwell). I’ll write more about this later, but try out the experiment if you have a chance.

So go be awesome and lovingly powerful, and use your abilities as an indigo to go do that. That’s what this blog will we emphasizing from now on.

And this works hand and hand with taking action on the changes you want to see in the world.

Make those changes, and use your indigo abilities to do so.

Look at who the United States (as a collective) has chosen as the front-runners of the election. They are not well liked, and the people’s distain is not unwarranted. They seem like they don’t have the well being of the people, the planet and it’s inhabitants in mind, and the people know it.

It is now time that indigos start pressing their presence into the world, so that the next time we have a chance to check off a name on the ballot, the only choices are those that understand that we are all connected and whose presence really expresses that in every way.

In the future, rather than voting for the lessor evil, I look forward to the only choices we have to vote for are an array of several individuals that all will do great things that have positive impact for the majority of the beings on this planet and for this planet by being a leader of the people, and that every possible future path is profoundly healthful for the planet and all her beings on all levels.

~ Peace ~

Indigo Leslie

PS: This was a bit of stream-of-consiousness writing so sorry if it is a bit meandering, but I got a clear message that it had to be written and posted before the results of the election come in.
